Missouri has suspended wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, once the nation's No. 1 overall recruit, indefinitely for an undisclosed violation of team rules. The decision was a joint move by Tigers' coach Gary Pinkel and athletic director Mike Alden. The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder who caught 59 passes for 883 yards and a team-high 12 touchdowns as Mizzou went 12-2 on its way to an SEC title game appearance in its second season in the league, won't be allowed to practice or participate in the team activities effective immediately but will have access to the academic center.. He was also arrested for suspicion of marijuana possession back in 2012, stemming from an incident which involved two of his teammates, before pleading guilty to a lesser charge and serving a one-game suspension."It's unfortunate, but it's the right thing to do for our football program, for the athletic department, and also for Dorial," Pinkel said in a release sent out by the university. "We have high standards related to the expectations that come along with being a Missouri Tiger, and Dorial has not met those recently. Representing Mizzou and our fans is a privilege, and we'll work with him during this process. It's been disappointing to have this, and other issues which have taken place lately. It's frustrating, because we work very hard to instill responsibility and discipline in our young men so that our program represents Mizzou the right way. These actions aren't representative of those expectations, and we are addressing these issues head on."
